Pendants
In our collection of pendants and earrings you can expect a selection of simple modern pieces to choose from. Era will also stock some unusual pieces set with rare gemstones, and a tasteful collection of vintage pendants and earrings. What sets Era apart is an on-site designer, who can listen to ideas, sketch and create exactly what you want.
At Era, we specialize in custom design. We pride ourselves on the beauty, the simplicity and the originality of our designs.
We meet our clients several times as we are creating pieces of jewellery. Thus, you are personally involved at each important step in the design process, and we incorporate the details you love into your jewellery to make it one of a kind, uniquely yours. We are here to listen, to provide our expert advice and to create the perfect piece of jewellery with you.
Here are the major the steps involved in creating your piece of jewellery:
The initial consultation. Together, we discuss design, materials, what sort of stones most interest you, and how we can best work within your budget to achieve the particular kind of design statement that you seek. Usually people will look at the sample Era rings, or bring in pictures from magazines. Rosemary will listen to what is important to you, and will make quick sketches while we talk.
The finished sketch. On your second visit to Era, we will have a finished sketch or watercolour for you to view. We will also have a selection of loose stones, and we will explain the special merits of each one. Then, as you examine those precious stones, we can discuss your inspirations and any changes you may seek in the design. If you choose a stone at this stage, we ask for a deposit.
A wax model will be ready for your viewing about two weeks later. The shape of this model will be an exact replica of your finished piece of jewellery. This step gives you a much better appreciation of the overall size and design of the finished piece its actual size, the way it looks from every angle, the proportions of its details. This gives you the final opportunity to change or adjust your design. Once you have approved the model, it is carefully cast into yellow gold, white gold, or platinum, and the stones are set in place.
We call you as soon as it is boxed and ready. If it is a gift, we always wrap it beautifully for you with the taste and care it deserves.
